<p>We take our own spiritual consecration and try to make it into a call of God, but when we get right with Him He brushes all this aside. Then He gives us a tremendous, riveting pain to fasten our attention on something that we never even dreamed could be His call for us. And for one radiant, flashing moment we see His purpose, and we say, “Here am I! Send me” (<a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Isaiah+6:8">Isaiah 6:8</a>).</p>
<p>This call has nothing to do with personal sanctification, but with being made broken bread and poured-out wine. Yet God can never make us into wine if we object to the fingers He chooses to use to crush us. We say, “If God would only use His own fingers, and make me broken bread and poured-out wine in a special way, then I wouldn’t object!” But when He uses someone we dislike, or some set of circumstances to which we said we would never submit, to crush us, then we object. Yet we must never try to choose the place of our own martyrdom. If we are ever going to be made into wine, we will have to be crushed—you cannot drink grapes. Grapes become wine only when they have been squeezed.</p>
<p>I wonder what finger and thumb God has been using to squeeze you? Have you been as hard as a marble and escaped? If you are not ripe yet, and if God had squeezed you anyway, the wine produced would have been remarkably bitter. To be a holy person means that the elements of our natural life experience the very presence of God as they are providentially broken in His service. We have to be placed into God and brought into agreement with Him before we can be broken bread in His hands. Stay right with God and let Him do as He likes, and you will find that He is producing the kind of bread and wine that will benefit His other children.</p>

<strong>“God does all these things to a man…”</strong><br />

<p>I am always amazed at the ways of the Father and at His heart to see man become what He created them to be. Strangely and sadly, man has always thought that if he could just learn more and having the right “knowledge” and discipline, he would be able to achieve the purposes of God for His life. This is very reminiscent of the days of Adam and Eve who were warned not to partake of the fruit of the “Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil”. God had clearly told them that partaking of that “tree” was not the “way” to become like Him, their Father. Everyone knows that in order for a son to become like (as one with) his father, he will have to be in the right relationship with his father, spend time with him, learn his voice, his ways, even his heart. The son essentially has to become a disciple of his father in order to be like him. This would not be a burden to the son because of the love of the father and because he loves his father. Oh, how the heart of our God and true Father longs for such a relationship with his sons.</p>
<p>Even so, man has continued to pursue “self” discipline(effort) and knowledge as a means to relationship with the Father and this has led to a great degradation within the hearts of mankind. This is especially true of the day (generation) we live in where knowledge has been elevated to the highest point and has become more important than any relationship, even among our fellow brothers. So, Truth (true knowledge and wisdom from above) and Love (covenant relationships) have been separated, and being isolated they have have been distorted and are no longer able to reflect the heart and person of the Father. This “high knowledge” that man pursues has caused him to be puffed up, full of pride to the extent that he does not even know that he has offended the Father and even assumes that he is doing His will. He has become “self-righteous” therefore elevating himself as a god unto himself.</p>
<p>Yet, the Father knows the ways of men very well and He is very patient and compassionate towards them, even in their rebellion. As a perfect Father, He will go great lengths to give his sons opportunity to turn from their pride and rebellion, repent and be restored to Him. Through true repentance and submission to the will of the Father, He is then able to impute (teach/disciple) to His son, all of Himself that they may be one. The heart of stone is taken away and the Father’s heart is put in its place. The “old man” comes to death only to be born again from above that he might grow and be filled with (become) the Eternal Life and Light which proceeds from the Father.</p>
<p>With this in mind, please read <strong>Job 33:8-30</strong>: <strong>(bold emphasis mine)</strong><br />
<em>8 “But you have said in my hearing—<br />
I heard the very words—<br />
9 ‘I am pure, I have done no wrong;<br />
I am clean and free from sin.<br />
10 Yet God has found fault with me;<br />
he considers me his enemy.<br />
11 He fastens my feet in shackles;<br />
he keeps close watch on all my paths.’</em></p>
<p>12 “But I tell you, in this you are not right,<br />
for God is greater than any mortal.<br />
13 Why do you complain to him<br />
that he responds to no one’s words?<br />
14 For God does speak—now one way, now another—<br />
though no one perceives it.<br />
15 In a dream, in a vision of the night,<br />
when deep sleep falls on people<br />
as they slumber in their beds,<br />
16 he may speak in their ears<br />
and terrify them with warnings,<br />
17 <strong>to turn them from wrongdoing<br />
and keep them from pride</strong>,<br />
18 to preserve them from the pit,<br />
their lives from perishing by the sword.</p>
<p>19 “Or someone may be chastened on a bed of pain<br />
with constant distress in their bones,<br />
20 so that their body finds food repulsive<br />
and their soul loathes the choicest meal.<br />
21 Their flesh wastes away to nothing,<br />
and their bones, once hidden, now stick out.<br />
22 They draw near to the pit,<br />
and their life to the messengers of death.[c]<br />
23 Yet if there is an angel at their side,<br />
a messenger<strong>(our mediator Christ)</strong>, one out of a thousand,<br />
sent to tell them how to be upright,<br />
24 and he is gracious to that person and says to God,<br />
‘Spare them from going down to the pit;<br />
I have found a ransom for them—<br />
25 let their flesh be renewed like a child’s;<br />
let them be restored as in the days of their youth’—<br />
26 then that person can pray to God and find favor with him,<br />
<strong>they will see God’s face</strong> and shout for joy;<br />
he will <strong>restore</strong> them to full well-being.<br />
27 And they will go to others and say,<br />
‘I have sinned, I have perverted what is right,<br />
but I did not get what I deserved.<br />
28 God has delivered me from going down to the pit,<br />
and I shall live to <strong>enjoy the light of life</strong>.’</p>
<p><em>29 “<strong>God does all these things to a person</strong>—<br />
twice, even three times—<br />
30 to turn them back from the pit,<br />
<strong>that the light of life may shine on them</strong>.</em></p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Spiritual Undergarments &amp; Season of Suddenlies</strong></p>

<p>&#8220;It is My desire that you become more serious than ever about spending time in My Word and in My presence, on a DAILY basis.  Press into Me as never before, and sit at My feet as Mary did.  Don’t be like Martha, for although she was a very faithful woman, she was so busy SERVING Me, that she did not have time to spend WITH Me, and thus she missed out on the fullness that I so longed to give to her, and she did not receive the refreshing, peace, joy, and strength that she truly needed to help her accomplish all of her daily tasks.  She had grown weary in well doing and was anxious and worried about accomplishing the task at hand, thus her annoyance with Mary for not helping her.  Martha was so “task oriented”, that in her mind, to sit down, rest, relax, listen, and receive in the midst of a busy day was unheard of, and would most certainly have put her behind in accomplishing all that she had to do.  What Martha did not realize was that if she had stopped what she was doing and simply sat at My feet and spent time in My presence, the refreshing, peace, joy, and strength that I would have imparted to her would have better prepared and equipped her for her day, and would have helped her to accomplish even more, and with better results.  Learn from Mary and Martha, for it will help you greatly.</p>
<p>Start out each morning by spending time in My Word.  As you listen and receive from Me, I will “feed you” and “clothe you.”  As you spend time worshipping Me, I will wash away your cares and concerns, and I will fill you with My peace.  As you spend time communing with Me in prayer &#8211; listening, waiting, seeking, asking and receiving, I will give you My guidance, wisdom, revelation, and instructions for your daily life.  As you read My Word and speak it over your life (and call things that are not as though they were), My Words of Life will literally transform the way you think, feel, talk and act.  And as you do all of these things you will be transformed &#8211; not only will your mind be renewed, but your character will also develop and grow, and the fruit of the Spirit will become evident in your life.  This kind of growth and change take time, so don&#8217;t get discouraged because it is a PROCESS, and it happens over time, but know that it is of the utmost importance to take the time to develop your character, for the ability to walk in the fruit of the Spirit is a true measure of a Christian&#8217;s maturity level, not the number of years they&#8217;ve been a Christian, OR their level of anointing.  A person could be the most gifted praise and worship leader, or have an extraordinary ability to teach, preach, or write prophetically, but those things, in, and of themselves, do not make a good, or effective leader.  An anointed life without a developed character has no true or lasting value and can cause many to stumble.</p>
<p>Oh, the rewards that await those who are faithful, and for those who establish themselves; ANCHOR themselves in My Word, LIVE My Word, and OBEY My Word.  My Word becomes their mentor and guide, their rod of correction, and their staff of comfort.</p>
<p>You will need to CHOOSE to walk in the Spirit, and CHOOSE to walk in love and forgiveness when someone hurts or offends you, and CHOOSE to walk in patience and kindness when you are tired and irritable, and the people around you are getting on your nerves.  Each time you make these daily, and even moment-by-moment choices, your flesh will become weaker and weaker, and your spirit-man will become stronger and stronger.  As this happens, the strongholds in your lives will be as fortresses that crumble at your feet, for they will lose the power they once had over you.</p>
<p>As you get My Word into your heart and walk it out in your daily life, the fruit of the Spirit (Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self Control), will literally clothe you, and become a garment of protection against the enemy, but when you rush out the door each morning without first spending time in My Word, in actuality, you are leaving the house spiritually &#8220;naked.&#8221;  Even if you pray &#8220;Ephesians 6&#8243; over yourself and verbally put your spiritual armor on, your armor is being put on a spiritually &#8220;naked&#8221; body, and therefore, it has nothing to cling to, thus, your armor hangs askew and leaves you vulnerable and unprotected from the attacks of the enemy, and his arrows can easily find their mark and cause much deep wounding in you.  But when you begin your day in My Word, and come before Me with a heart of repentance, worship, and prayer, (and throughout the day you walk in the fruit of the Spirit, and put the flesh under), all of these things serve as a garment of protection against the enemy.  You could say these are your “spiritual undergarments” that go on under your armor, and then when you put the armor of God on over these undergarments, (Ephesians 6:14-17), the two bond together and provide an impenetrable barrier of protection and defense against the weapons of the enemy.</p>
<p>I desire to take you from glory, to glory.  Take care of yourself physically, (get the rest you need, and put good and healthy food into your body), and guard your time spent with Me, and make sure you are listening, waiting, receiving, and obeying.</p>
<p>We are entering into a season of suddenlies, and you need to be spending time in that quiet, intimate place with Me on a daily basis, or you will miss out on some very important appointments I have for you.  These &#8220;appointments&#8221; will come in many different forms.  Sometimes they will be doors that I desire to open for you, or people I want you to meet that will have a special key to help you complete your assignment.  Any missed appointment is a missed opportunity, and will cause you great frustration down the road when you come up against an impenetrable wall that you see no way in, through, or around, but if you had kept the appointment I had for you, you would have held the key that would have easily opened a way for you to pass through to the other side.</p>
<p>I cannot emphasize this more strongly.  Put Me first; make Me first priority above all else, listen to My instructions, and then obey.  This is what I did with My Father each day, and during those intimate times I spent with Him, He gave me every single thing I needed to complete, and fulfill My destiny.  As it was with Me, so it is with you.  I will give you Divine Blueprints for you to follow.  These instructions will show you where the enemy is hiding, and how to avoid him.  They will show you where the hurting and the lost are, and how to reach them and help them.  Everything you need will be given to you in these intimate times with Me.</p>
<p>However, if you don&#8217;t spend this time with Me, your walk will be erratic, unstable and confused (a double minded man is unstable in all his ways), and you will be walking as a person with a blindfold who cannot see anything clearly, and who constantly guesses as to where they should step next.  Many problems lie in store for the person who lives like this &#8211; they will always be confused, frustrated, weary, lost, lonely, anxious, and afraid, and they will constantly be getting hurt, for they will stumble into many snares the enemy has laid for them.  Can a soldier effectively fight a battle without first getting instructions from his Commanding Officer?  No, for surely he would be overtaken by the enemy very quickly.</p>
<p>If you heed the warnings I have given you this day, you will live a very blessed and fulfilled life indeed, but if you do not, the opposite will be true.  Choose ye this day whom you will serve.&#8221;</p>

<p>True surrender is not simply surrender of our external life but surrender of our will— and once that is done, surrender is complete. The greatest crisis we ever face is the surrender of our will. Yet God never forces a person’s will into surrender, and He never begs. He patiently waits until that person willingly yields to Him. And once that battle has been fought, it never needs to be fought again.</p>
<p><strong>Surrender for Deliverance.</strong> “Come to Me . . . and I will give you rest” (<a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew+11:28">Matthew 11:28</a>). It is only after we have begun to experience what salvation really means that we surrender our will to Jesus for rest. Whatever is causing us a sense of uncertainty is actually a call to our will— “Come to Me.” And it is a voluntary coming.</p>
<p><strong>Surrender for Devotion.</strong> “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself . . . ” (Matthew 16:24). The surrender here is of my <em>self</em> to Jesus, with His rest at the heart of my being. He says, “If you want to be My disciple, you must give up your right to yourself to Me.” And once this is done, the remainder of your life will exhibit nothing but the evidence of this surrender, and you never need to be concerned again with what the future may hold for you. Whatever your circumstances may be, Jesus is totally sufficient (see <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2+Corinthians+12:9">2 Corinthians 12:9</a> and (<a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Philippians+4:19">Philippians 4:19</a>).</p>
<p><strong>Surrender for Death.</strong> “. . . another will gird you . . .” (<a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John+21:18">John 21:18</a> ; also see <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John21:19">John21:19</a>). Have you learned what it means to be girded for death? Beware of some surrender that you make to God in an ecstatic moment in your life, because you are apt to take it back again. True surrender is a matter of being “united together [with Jesus] in the likeness of His death” (<a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Romans+6:5">Romans 6:5</a>) until nothing ever appeals to you that did not appeal to Him.</p>
<p>And after you surrender— then what? Your entire life should be characterized by an eagerness to maintain unbroken fellowship and oneness with God.</p>

<p>A river reaches places which its source never knows. And Jesus said that, if we have received His fullness, “rivers of living water” will flow out of us, reaching in blessing even “to the end of the earth” (<a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Acts+1:8">Acts 1:8</a>) regardless of how small the visible effects of our lives may appear to be. We have nothing to do with the outflow— “This is the work of God, that you <em>believe</em>. . .” (<a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John+6:29">John 6:29</a>). God rarely allows a person to see how great a blessing he is to others.</p>
<p>A river is victoriously persistent, overcoming all barriers. For a while it goes steadily on its course, but then comes to an obstacle. And for a while it is blocked, yet it soon makes a pathway around the obstacle. Or a river will drop out of sight for miles, only later to emerge again even broader and greater than ever. Do you see God using the lives of others, but an obstacle has come into your life and you do not seem to be of any use to God? Then keep paying attention to the Source, and God will either take you around the obstacle or remove it. The river of the Spirit of God overcomes all obstacles. Never focus your eyes on the obstacle or the difficulty. The obstacle will be a matter of total indifference to the river that will flow steadily through you if you will simply remember to stay focused on the Source. Never allow anything to come between you and Jesus Christ— not emotion nor experience— nothing must keep you from the one great sovereign Source.</p>
<p>Think of the healing and far-reaching rivers developing and nourishing themselves in our souls! God has been opening up wonderful truths to our minds, and every point He has opened up is another indication of the wider power of the river that He will flow through us. If you believe in Jesus, you will find that God has developed and nourished in you mighty, rushing rivers of blessing for others.</p>

<p>We will be answering the question:  &#8221;In the Beginning: Why did God create everything?&#8221;</p>
<p>Looking primarily in Genesis Chapter 1 and some other passages.</p>
<p>Follow Up:</p>
<p>Our time started off with Lee reading from Malachi 3 about the great and terrible day of the Lord.  We talked about it and I also talked about the prophetic nature of the scripture and what it means for our generation.</p>
<p>The boys were very attentive during the meeting time.  They were very interested in how &#8220;the Lamb was slain before the foundations of the earth.&#8221;  We discussed that God&#8217;s primary purpose in all of creation was to have sons who would be like Him and would love Him.</p>
<p>Of the boys we had, Jaelon, Michael, Manny, Thomas, Frankie, Kyler, Lee</p>
<p>Gloria and Lilian also sat in.<br />

<p>Time of music, reading and prayer.</p>
<p>Discussion of a particular topic.</p>
<p>Time in prayer.</p>
<p>The first topic we will cover is:</p>
<p><strong>&#8220;In the Beginning: Why God created everything.&#8221;</strong></p>
<p>Look at the order of creation presented in Genesis chapter 1-2</p>
<p>- man as a son &#8220;in the likeness of the Father&#8221;</p>
<p>- to rule over and represent the Father to <strong>all</strong> creation as His sons</p>
<p>- live in fellowship with the Father (family culture of His Kingdom)</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Meeting Notes:</strong></p>
<p>Josh and I decided that this night would primarily be a night for introductions.  It became quickly evident that the boys were going to have to learn to respect the environment as well as one another before we could continue on.  The first 30 minutes or so were spent re-directing several of the boys and keeping them mindful of what we were doing.</p>
<p>We then began singing some songs together, followed by a time of prayer.  Josh had the boys share prayer requests and had them pray for one another.  They engaged well in the prayer time and received each other well.   Jaelon was particularly moved when Trent prayed for him, he began to cry.  I then asked him if he would like for Josh and I to pray over him and he said that he would.  Again, Jaelon was moved by the prayers.  Then Trent asked Jaelon fi he had ever received Christ and if he would like to&#8230; so Trent prayed for Jaelon again.  Several of the other boys were eager to be prayed for and we ended the night having them think about the question, &#8220;Why did God create everything?&#8221;  They were to think, discuss, and read about it during the week and we will talk about it next week (9/6/11).</p>

<p>Every time you venture out in your life of faith, you will find something in your circumstances that, from a commonsense standpoint, will flatly contradict your faith. But common sense is not faith, and faith is not common sense. In fact, they are as different as the natural life and the spiritual. Can you trust Jesus Christ where your common sense cannot trust Him? Can you venture out with courage on the words of Jesus Christ, while the realities of your commonsense life continue to shout, “It’s all a lie”? When you are on the mountaintop, it’s easy to say, “Oh yes, I believe God can do it,” but you have to come down from the mountain to the demon-possessed valley and face the realities that scoff at your Mount-of-Transfiguration belief (see <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Luke+9:28-42">Luke 9:28-42</a>). Every time my theology becomes clear to my own mind, I encounter something that contradicts it. As soon as I say, “I believe ’God shall supply all [my] need,’ ” the testing of my faith begins (<a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Philippians+4:19">Philippians 4:19</a>). When my strength runs dry and my vision is blinded, will I endure this trial of my faith victoriously or will I turn back in defeat?</p>
<p>Faith must be tested, because it can only become your intimate possession through conflict. What is challenging your faith right now? The test will either prove your faith right, or it will kill it. Jesus said, “Blessed is he who is not offended because of Me” <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew+11:6">Matthew 11:6</a>). The ultimate thing is confidence in Jesus. “We have become partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end . . .” (<a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Hebrews+3:14">Hebrews 3:14</a>). Believe steadfastly on Him and everything that challenges you will strengthen your faith. There is continual testing in the life of faith up to the point of our physical death, which is the last great test. Faith is absolute trust in God— trust that could never imagine that He would forsake us (see <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Hebrews+13:5-6">Hebrews 13:5-6</a>).</p>

<p>The Whisper of the Spirit (Life is Happening)</p>
<p>Maryam Ziadat</p>
<p>While in the presence of the Lord I saw a vineyard in a dark place<br />
and a light was shed on it directly. I heard the Lord saying, Life is happening,<br />
your heavenly father shines his sun on the righteous as well as on the wicked!<br />
It is our attitude and our choices that make the difference on how we see<br />
things, how we interpret them and how we receive them and then where we go after<br />
that!</p>
<p>Our heavenly father uses everything that is happening to work on<br />
his people! To molds them the way that he desires! To allow his master piece to<br />
shine and reflect him, his light, his character and his glory!</p>
<p>The Lord is using our journey in life to bring us into Jesus<br />
likeness! It is how much we surrender and how much we submit to his hands and<br />
his spirit. It is our understanding that we live in this world but we are not<br />
from it and it is our understanding that our citizenship is in<br />
heaven!</p>
<p><em>&#8220;Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is</em><br />
<em> right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable, if <span style="text-decoration: underline;">anything is<br />

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Father&#8217;s Heart Ranch is a group home for abused and neglected boys. Father&#8217;s Heart Ranch cares for children by providing a safe and stable home. Due to various abuses received, these children have been removed from their homes by Child Protective Services and placed with us. Each child&#8217;s circumstance is different. Some are waiting for a parent to complete court required programs before the child can return, other parents are incarcerated or plainly, nowhere to be found. Either way, our goal is to provide skills that each child can take with them on their journey through life. Through therapy, community involvements, spiritual development, exposure to new events and above all LOVE. We provide holistic development for our children and in this way we look forward to seeing that each child&#8217;s journey is a success.<br />
